Biography

Hans Baumgartner (given birth to 30 Might 1949 in Stühlingen, Baden-Württemberg) is a retired Western world German long jumper. He won the sterling silver medal on the 1972 Summer months Olympics held in Munich using a leap of 8.18 meters. Baumgartner once again took component in the 1976 Summer months Olympics, but didn’t earn a medal. He also competed in the 1971 and 1974 Western european Championships, using the same result. On the European Indoor Championships he gained silver medals in 1971, 1973 and 1977 and silver medals in 1972 and 1974. He also gained a bronze medal on the 1973 Summer months Universiade and a sterling silver medal on the 1977 IAAF Globe Glass. 8.18 metres continued to be his career best jump. Hans Baumgartner competed for Television Heppenheim and trained under Hansjörg Holzamer. He became Western world German champ in 1980, 1971, 1972 and 1973. During his energetic career he assessed 1.87 meters and weighed 75 kg.
