Geoff Chunn

Biography

Geoff Chunn is a fresh Zealand musician, most widely known as an early on member of Break up Enz. Chunn was a teenage friend of Tim Finn. Collectively each of them and Chunn’s elder sibling, Mike Chunn, founded the music group Stillwater while at senior high school in the past due 1960s. When Stillwater split in 1971, Chunn became a member of acoustic group Rosewood. In past due 1972, Mike Chunn was approached by Finn to become listed on his new music group, Split Ends, which he duly did. The next year, Geoff became a member of the music group as drummer, sticking to the music group (called Divided Enz from early 1974) until June 1974. Pursuing his departure from Break up Enz, Chunn briefly drummed for Dragon, before developing Citizen Music group in 1977 along with his sibling Mike. Citizen Music group noticed Geoff Chunn move from drums to be the group’s primary vocalist, guitarist and songwriter.
