Gary Bowyer (given birth to 26 June 1971) can be an British football trainer and previous professional player who’s the supervisor of League 1 club Blackpool.

Early and personal life

Gary Bowyer was created in 26 June 1971 in Manchester. His dad Ian Bowyer was also a specialist footballer; both played jointly at Hereford United.

Career

Playing career

After playing nonleague football for Westfields, Bowyer, a complete back again, signed for Soccer Group team Hereford United on noncontract terms, making 14 appearances in the 1989–90 season. Following the period ended, Bowyer transferred to Nottingham Forest, but he hardly ever made a mature Football Group appearance on their behalf. Bowyer afterwards agreed upon for Rotherham United, producing 38 performances in the Group over another two periods, before retiring because of injury.

Coaching career

After retiring simply because a new player, Bowyer began his coaching career functioning part-time at Ilkeston and in addition had a spell managing nonleague side Carshalton Athletic from 1998-2000, before being appointed simply because Under-17 coach at Derby State, where he spent six years simply because an academy coach. Then became Under 18's trainer for Blackburn Rovers in 2004. He became Reserve Group supervisor in 2008, and in Dec 2012 he was appointed as caretaker supervisor following the termination of Henning Berg, steering these to a 3–1 success over Barnsley in his initial game in control. It was afterwards announced that Bowyer would stay in charge before end of January.Bowyer was re-appointed Caretaker Supervisor on 19 March 2013, following sacking of Michael Appleton, before end of the growing season. Nevertheless, on 26 March 2013 Bowyer stated he was uncertain how long he'd remain in the positioning, in the event the club employed a new long lasting supervisor, and on 8 Apr 2013 Bowyer was summoned to India for a gathering using the club's owners.Bowyer was appointed the everlasting supervisor of Blackburn on 24 Might 2013, on the 12-month rolling agreement.In Sept 2015 he needed goal line technology to become executed.
