Biography

Francois Brummer (given birth to 17 Might 1989) is a South African rugby union footballer, currently taking part in Bulls in Super Rugby as well as for Japan Top League part Toyota Sectors Shuttles. His regular playing placement is definitely fly-half, although he offers played fullback sometimes.

Career

Bulls / Blue Bulls

Brummer came through the youngsters ranks in the Blue Bulls and continued to create 45 senior looks in Pretoria, however they were mainly confined towards the Vodacom Glass competition. He was area of the Bulls squad for the 2010 and 2011 Super Rugby season's although he just performed in 5 fits.

Griquas

Having less activity saw him switch to the Griquas in 2012 and he was the Peacock Blues regular fly-half before end of 2015. The 2014 Vodacom Glass semi-final match against the Pumas, Brummer established a new local record for the fastest drop-goal within a match when he have scored one after simply 20 seconds.

Cheetahs

Solid performances for the Griquas saw him named in the Cheetahs squad for the 2013 Very Rugby season therefore much he has produced one particular appearance for the men from Bloemfontein.

Pumas / Bulls

Brummer joined Nelspruit-based part the Pumas for the 2016 period. He became a member of Super Rugby franchise the Bulls on mortgage for the 2016 Super Rugby period, rejoining the medial side from Pretoria where he previously produced five Super Rugby performances.

Toyota Industries Shuttles

He's the best South African factors scorer in the annals from the IRB Junior Globe Championship.In 2016, he was contained in a Southern Africa 'A' squad that played a two-match series against a touring Britain Saxons team. He arrived on as an alternative in their 1st match in Bloemfontein and obtained his side's 1st try within two mins of arriving on and in addition converted three attempts, but ended for the dropping part as the site visitors went out 32–24 winners. Then started the next match from the series, kicking two conversions inside a 26–29 beat towards the Saxons in George.

Notes

^ Based on the South African Rugby Annual 2015, Brummer produced just one single appearance for the Bulls through the 2010 Super 14 period. However, based on the South African Rugby Union internet site, he produced four appearances as an alternative through the 2011 Super Rugby period in fits against the Stormers, Crusaders, Chiefs and Rebels.
