He’s the 1st ODI cover for Netherlands. Aponso represented Sri Lanka using one occasion prior to the nation received Test position, taking part in against Tamil Nadu for the Gopalan Trophy in 1974–75. His involvement using the rebel Arosa Sri Lanka part that toured South Africa in 1982–83 guaranteed an eternity ban from cricket in Sri Lanka. He moved to holland, playing to them in the 1990 and 1994 ICC Trophy competitions, though he also played 9 top-level fits for Sebastianites in Sri Lankan home cricket.
