Denis Sergeyevich Alekseyev (Russian: Денис Серге́евич Алексеев) (given birth to Dec 21, 1987, St. Petersburg) is normally a Russian sprint athlete.
Alekseyev tested positive for the anabolic steroid Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (Dental Turinabol) within an out-of-competition control 27 June 2013 and was subsequently handed a two-year ban from sports activities. The ban finished 3 July 2015.IN-MAY 2016, it had been reported that Alekseyev was among 14 Russian athletes, and 9 medalists, implicated in doping following a retesting of urine through the 2008 Olympic Games. Alekseyev was called by Russian press company TASS as having failed the retest, that was undertaken following a Russian doping scandal of 2015 and 2016. If verified, under IOC and IAAF guidelines, he stands to reduce all outcomes, medals and information from the day of the initial check to May 2016. As this might be considered a second doping offence, he also encounters an eternity ban from sport.
