Cristina Alberdi

Biography

Cristina Alberdi (given birth to 22 Feb 1946) is a Spanish politician and attorney.

Education and career

Graduating in law, from 1970 she was an attorney from the Colegio de Abogados (Classes of Lawyers), and in 1975 structured a feminist legal group. She was later on a representative from the Consejo General del Poder Judicial, (General Advisory council from the Judiciary) from 1985 to 1990. She was appointed minister of interpersonal topics in the cupboard led by Primary Minister Felipe Gonzales in 1993, changing Matilde Fernández in the post. She is at workplace until 1996.She was elected towards the Spanish Congress as Spanish Socialist Employees' Party (PSOE) member in 1996, representing Malaga area before moving to Madrid area which she represented from 2000 – 2003. She was also chief executive of Federación Socialista Madrileña (1997–2000). In 2003, she remaining PSOE, and happens to be president from the advisory council against assault locally of Madrid (Consejo Asesor del Observatorio contra la Violencia de Género de la Comunidad de Madrid).
