Early life and education

Craig Berkman was created Craig Lamont Willoughby in Sioux Town, Iowa. His natural dad was Roford "Pinky" Berkman. Craig Berkman grew up poor in the Roseway community of Portland, Oregon. Their divorce was resolved in 2002.Berkman is currently married to Mary Ann Farrell Karlsson (also called Mary Ann Karlsson-Berkman), a past NY Miss America contestant and Jacksonville, Florida local.
