Chung Yangmo (given birth to 1934) is a South Korean artwork historian, known for his experience in Korean ceramics.
Chung Yangmo was created in 1934 as the 4th and final child of Chung Inbo (
Chung started his profession in the Country wide Museum of Korea in 1962. For a lot of his early profession he worked well under Choi Sun-u (최순우; 崔淳雨), the other from the country's main specialists on Korean ceramics. In 1963, while keeping the positioning of associate researcher in the artwork department from the museum, he participated in fieldwork led by Choi in Yangju, and found out a kiln through the past due Goryeo Dynasty inside a town near Dobongsan.From 1984 to 1986, Chung served as movie director from the Gyeongju Country wide Museum. He continued to be the director from the Country wide Museum of Korea, offering from 1993 to 1999. IN-MAY 2003, he was appointed as the brand new commissioner from the Cultural History Administration of Korea's Cultural Properties Percentage. He served for the reason that placement until 2005, when he was been successful by Seoul Country wide University teacher Ahn Hwi-joon (안휘준; 安輝濬).
Awards and honours
In 2005, Chung received the Sterling silver Crown from the Purchase of Cultural Merit from the federal government of Southern Korea. In 2013 his fellow scholars released a Festschrift in his honour to celebrate his eightieth calendar year of lifestyle (in East Asian age group reckoning).
