Biography

Charlie Brandon is a ex – award-winning, all-star and Gray Cup champ lineman in the Canadian Soccer League performing 7 seasons using the Ottawa Tough Riders. A graduate of Shaw College or university, Brandon started his career performing one video game for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1967. Then spent 3 periods in the Continental Soccer Group playing for the semi-pro Norfolk Neptunes. He came back to Canada and started a 7-season stay static in Ottawa, where he was an integral part of the feared “Capital Abuse” defensive device. He earned two Grey Mugs and in his last season turned to offensive safeguard, and was an all-star. He was the Gray Cup MOST EFFECTIVE Participant in 1973.
