Biography

Bob Christie is a previous Scottish continuity announcer. Christie began his announcing profession at Scottish Tv before signing up for BBC Scotland through the mid-1970s while an announcer for the air 4 Scotland opt-out services (replaced in 1978 by BBC Radio Scotland) and BBC Scotland’s tv opt-outs. By 1977, Christie along with all the BBC Scotland announcers started to announce all night and weekend evening television programmes. Until 1988, Christie regularly appeared in-vision like a Scottish News flash/Reporting Scotland bulletin presenter. He retired from announcing in 2000.
