Bernard Chunga


Bernard Chunga is a Kenyan attorney and a previous Key Justice of Kenya. Justice Chunga resigned from any office on 26 Feb 2003 paving just how for the session of Justice Johnson Evans Gicheru.

Early career

Justice Chunga previously worked while Deputy Open public Prosecutor. As Deputy Open public Prosecutor, he was the business lead counsel in the commission payment of Inquiry into Robert Ouko’s loss of life that was led by Justice Evans Gicheru. He was also the prosecutor in the trial of Jonah Anguka, a previous DC implicated in Ouko murder.

Tribunal and Resignation

Instead of facing a tribunal established from the recently elected President Mwai Kibaki to research alleged misconduct, Justice Chunga resigned.
