Cheema-Grubb was known as to the club in 1989. In 2006, she became the initial Asian woman to become appointed a Junior Treasury Counsel. In 2007, she became a recorder. In 2013, she was appointed a Queen’s Counsel (QC). She offered as a Mature Treasury Counsel and was authorised to sit down being a Deputy High Courtroom Judge. She chaired an Advocacy Schooling Council functioning group that created the survey “Bringing up the Club: The Managing of Susceptible Witnesses, Victims and Defendants in Courtroom”. Cheema-Grubb effectively acted for the prosecution against retired Cathedral of Britain bishop Peter Ball for historical intimate abuse and against barrister and recorder Constance Briscoe for perverting the span of justice.
