Colonel (retired) Abdulmumini Aminu (given birth to 1949) was army governor of Borno Condition, Nigeria between August 1985 and Dec 1987 through the army routine of General Ibrahim Babangida. He afterwards became Chairman from the Nigeria Soccer Association, and Chairman from the West Africa Soccer Union.

Military career

Aminu was among the officials who arrested General Muhammadu Buhari in the August 1985 coup where General Ibrahim Babangida found power. Aminu was a significant in his mid-thirties when Babangida appointed him governor of Borno Condition later on that month. At Nigeria's 1st national AIDS meeting in Oct 1987 Aminu stated the idea that AIDS started in Africa is usually a stalking equine for anti-black racism, because of a mentality that features everything that's bad and unfavorable towards the so-called dark continent. Aminu was Chairman from the Nigeria Soccer Association (NFA) in 1997. Aminu joined the People's Democratic Party (Nigeria) (PDP) in the beginning of the Nigerian Fourth Republic. He later on switched towards the United Nigeria People's Party (UNPP). Aminu went for governor of Katsina Condition in Apr 2003, but dropped out to the incumbent Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, who later on went on to be Chief executive of Nigeria. Through the Apr 2003 elections, Aminu was caught in Katsina for alleged electoral malpractices. In Apr 2004, Aminu rejoined the PDP, stating that the UNPP is at disarray.
